We hear that every year. Fact is Japan and EU belong to PS3, USA belongs to 360 (when it comes to HD consoles) and thats how it is going to stay. Sure as you say sales will rise but so will 360's durring holydays.
for sony standradrs it is low, compared to PS1 and PS2, learn to read. Check how many PS2 were sold by year 4. No one is calling PS3 flop. It is great console, amazing one but it isn't selling like its predecessors, maybe you are too young to remember
